  October 16, 2022 - {cork, 13.3%} Quite brickish around the rim; more than I expected. Pretty nose of cigar box, mild oak, currants - all the right smells here. Quite advanced though. I was fearing warm storage at this point, to be candid (auction buy). Palate supports that I think, with ripe sweetish but not overdone black fruits, subtle oak, medium dusty tannins, medium weight, with low/medium acidity. But this bottle feels a little washed out somehow. Still a nice wine, but I get the sense it’s not at its best here. Double decant off minimal sediment, perfect cork.

  July 16, 2021 - This had a very unbalanced, bitter taste on opening and for the whole evening. After 24 hours, it had smoothed out somewhat. After 48 hours, it was still holding a lot of fruit and had become more rounded. Marked down for this bottle, not have hopes for it
