April 26, 2024 - Pale yellow gold. Fresh apples, slight citrus. Good acidity. Well balanced. Good long finish. Great food wine

September 9, 2022 - Utterly delicious, electric lemonade. Off dry but acid RIPS. Backwards but starting to turn around.
    Revisit in 2025.

March 17, 2020 - The palate of this wine has brilliant minerality, remarkably clean fruit with crystalline acidity

June 26, 2019 - Stony all the way, and finishes nearly dry - just like magic. The faintest hint of cork, but still outstanding.

April 13, 2019 - 8,5% alcohol. Tasted blind among 46 other 2017 Riesling Kabinetts in Kabinett Cup 2017.

Limpid, almost completely colorless whitish-green appearance. Restrained and quite closed nose with subtly nuanced aromas of some apple blossom, a little bit of lemon juice and a hint of chalk dust. The wine is fruity, somewhat crisp and medium-sweet-ish on the palate with medium body and flavors of pear marmalade, some stone dust, a little bit of flinty smoky tones, light apple jam notes, a hint of saline minerality and a touch of tart pomelo. The high acidity lends good intensity and sense of balance to the wine. The finish is crisp, youthful and acid-driven with long, fruit-driven flavors of tart lemony citrus fruits, some tangy green apples, a little bit of candied pear drops and a hint of saline minerality.

A nice, youthful and fruit-driven Kabinett. Nothing particularly memorable, but nothing to complain here either. Perhaps the wine will gain more depth and complexity with age. It scored a total of 4 points from the 12 judges, making it finish in 26th place out of 46 wines.
