  January 2, 2020 - Quite atypical for a barbera - more mineral, salty and with a hefty dose of licorice. Not very juicy, and more cherry pit than fresh cherries. Puckering acidity though, and a a bit of tannins. Not bad and that minerality has something but not a favourite really. Had this once before (with AEKENBACK) below and it was better then.

  December 30, 2019 - Bright and buoyant, almost like a Pinot, but in personality only. The red fruit is deep, the tannins elegant, the acid built to perfection. Wish I had another bottle. Paired with homemade lasagna.

  August 18, 2019 - Very nice and high quality Barbera. Will probably improve with one more year in the cellar, but already in a great spot right now. Quite ripe black fruit combined with very nice acidity and luckily no oak notes, thanks to the neutral casks in which it is aged.
