November 5, 2022 - Slow oxed for 4 hour before serving. Dark fruit, oak spice, and herbs on the nose. Palate is deep and giving. While it shows some masculinity of the terroir, the vintage and Erwan’s style have softened it up to provide good balance. Although I prefer the more feminine 2017 Faiveley Latricieres Chambertin, the Beze is also very good. Faiveley’s red wine has improved so much since 2014, yet the pricing has still not reflected the improvement.

November 9, 2019 - Well balanced with a tartness that works well. Great juice that lingers with a long finish. Yum.

April 19, 2019 - 2018 Visit to Domaine Faiveley (Nuits St. Georges): New oak 40%. This is an excellent wine remiscient, unsurprisingly, of the 2017 Bruno Clair Clos de Bèze. Aromatic, showing spices, cherries, plums, rosemary and tilled earth. On entry to the palate, very fine and lacy with silky smooth tannins. But there is structure and power across the mid palate and a very long finish. A top wine, the second best at the tasting.

March 8, 2019 - Very open, floral and balanced. Impressive.

July 3, 2018 - Faiveley Cellar Visit and Tasting (Day 10, Visit 2) (Nuits St.-Georges): Barrel tasting at Faiveley. Similar to Latricieres, just bigger and slighter sweeter. Very long length with an expanding finish. 92-95 point potential.
