  November 17, 2023 - Elio Sandri Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Glass: Riedel Vinum Pinot
  Clear ruby color. Fine, floral, a bit lactic nose.
  On the palate very energetic, great tension and precision! Juicy, fine fruit, complex, wonderful depth and density. Long and lingering finish. Still young, with great potential. 94-95+

  November 11, 2023 - Tasted at Piazza Duomo in Alba with the white truffle menu, this wine had a medium red center and some orange at rims. The nose put forth sour cherry, mineral, rose, and some camphor notes.
  
  In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied with great balance, firm acidity, and good length.
  
  While reasonably drinkable now with extended air, I would expect this wine to improve by a couple points with 20+ years in the cellar.

  December 2, 2021 - Return to Piemonte!; 11/25/2021-12/4/2021 (Castello di Sinio, Alba, other various locations): Very elegant and lovely style of wine. Still the darker fruits, but there’s a lightness to the body of this wine that is great compared to the others. It’s a touch less complex as well as a result, but it’s still a nice wine and fun to get to check back in on a few years later.

  September 8, 2021 - 2016, Barolo Brunate, Vietti, Castiglione Falletto, Piemont, Italien (100% Nebbiolo von Kalkmergel- und Muschelkalk-Böden mit südlicher Ausrichtung auf 230-405 M.ü.M. 24 Tage Mazeration bei 32°, Ausbau während 30 Monaten in französischen Barriques und grossen Holzfässern. 15% Alkohol, 6.8g/l Säure, 32g/l Trockenextrakt). Ungemeinduftige Nase, reif und warm anmutende Nase, rote Beeren, viele Kräuter, dezent laktische Noten, wird mit Luft immer parfümierter und verspielter, zeigt Spannung, Veilchenaromen, eine kleine Droge. Im Gaumen feinfruchtig, präzis, die Gerbstoffe sind in Massen vorhanden, jedoch fein gewoben, machen sich erst im hinteren Gaumen bemerkbar, die Frucht ist delikat, perfekt reif, jedoch ohne Überreife. Hallt im Abgang ausgesprochen lange nach mit Retroaromen, die an Blutorangen erinnern. Ausgezeichnet und stilistisch ganz auf meiner Linie. 2022 bis 2044+, 95/100 vvPunkte. vvWine.ch

  February 27, 2021 - Barolo Boys Special: Brunate Cru (Zoom!): Exact altitude of Vietti's vines is unknown as Vietti would not tell! 30 mos in mixture of barrique and big botte
  
  Darker in colour than the other wines. Another really grown-up wine. Earthy and austere, with lots of dark fruit to chew on. Tomato leaf and mixed spices come through with air. Tannins are very well-managed – lots of them, but super-sleek. Great balance although as it warms you can feel the alcohol. Savoury flavours come through and the wine would love a steak. Probably more impressive than lovable.
