  November 27, 2018 - Continuing on the Pinot kick with a Bourgogne that punches well above its weight class - a delicious sip from François Mikulski and his domaine in Meursault. Delicious indeed, and loaded with spice, combining the brightness of red forest berries with a host of savoury notes. The wine carries an intriguing eucalyptus streak throughout, while also giving bursts of pomegranate seeds and hints of fennel. With a perfect balance of bright acidity and easy-going body, this most definitely falls into the category of crushable. Exceptionally fun and undeniably well made - we may not get much Mikulski here in Alberta but count me in any time we do!

  September 9, 2018 - Not as extracted or generous as some other Bourgogne rouge from similarly established producers. Tart cranberry and quite high acidity on the palate. The nose is interesting though. Gamay-esque notes of strawberry. Reminded me more of a good cru Beaujolais overall. Maybe time is all that’s needed.
