June 2, 2023 - Took some time to open. First two hours very flat and uninspiring. Around 3.5 hours into dinner it started to open up. Mostly Blue fruits, slightly dusty tannins. This needs a few more years. Appears somewhat shut down compared to my first bottle. Patience required.

January 28, 2022 - Excellent. Refined. Berries and cinnamon. Nice finish. Little need for air

November 19, 2021 - 2 hour decant splash decant with medium rare filet (mushrooms and onions) . Very enjoyable, great QPR for a 1er Cru and fruity with a little complexity at the moment. Glad I bought a case. Approachable now but will become better I am sure. Can't wait to see how this evolves. Will try again in 6 -12 months if I can hold out. I am really startintg to like red Chassagne-Montrachet's. The 2015 Lamy-Pillot C-M Clos St. Jean was my first intro into these reds... that was tasty. I can highly recommend this Gagnard.

August 25, 2020 - Popped and poured. Lovely nose of ripe red fruit, flowers and herbs. The palate shows flavors of red cherries, raspberry, with some earth and spice notes. This has a delicious suave feel now and has the stuffing and balance to age gracefully.
