November 15, 2022 - Cedar and eucalyptus notes on opening, smoked strawberry compote, lovely cheek-tingling acidity and grippy tannins. If you had to imagine what Pinot Noir from Barolo could be like, you might end up here. Boisterous yet elegant, grippy smooth and fragrant. Every bottle from this case is offered a different perspective on the grape and the terroir- it’s been a great case to experience.

September 27, 2021 - This bottle was perfectly on song, cigar box, dark berry, gentle cedar note on a long finish, fresh profile throughout and fully integrated wood. Just enough tannin to prefer a bite to go with but also good on its own despite the high (14%) alcohol. Glad the last one was just an off bottle rather than a sudden decline overall.

August 6, 2021 - Really surprised by how evolved this bottle was- some of the tertiary notes were bordering on oxidised. I thought the last bottles I tried had years left in them. Was ok with beef, excellent with cheese. If this wasn't just a randomly aged bottle it's time to polish these off.

September 30, 2020 - For me this is most importantly a Langhe wine before a pinot noir. It has a food friendly, tannic, mineral and chewy character that bespeaks the terroir of the Langhe. There was clearly plenty of time in barrique as well and that oak is taking it's time to integrate. So I hope this is going to be really age-worthy and I don't plan to open another one for at least 2 or 3 years.

November 19, 2018 - Very enjoyable bouquet, profile, and concentration. The back, however, showed a gritty, astringent quality, typical of excessive extraction or phenolic ripeness issues, that detracted from the overall experience. Food would most likely round out the edges.
