July 17, 2020 - A consistently good value wine that's aged in large oak casks for ~ 1 year. Good/Good+ acidity, with avg balance/complexity. A reliable cellar defender for many, no doubt. 13,0% abv. 95% Sangiovese, other. Drink now thru 2025. recommended+

May 22, 2020 - Medium red. Very earthy nose, cherry, thyme, red flowers all bound in a very traditional earthiness. Delicious warm berry, cherry and mushroom flavours and a tasty long dry finish.

I am so happy to see this sort of profile from a 2016. Nothing overdone.

May 15, 2020 - I enjoyed this quite a lot. Medium dark red. Cherry, earth and plum. A very traditional Chianti nose in my opinion. Dry warm cherry and dried mushroom flavours and a nice balanced finish.

    Very enjoyable.

October 3, 2019 - Rather deep red for a Chianti. Still muted nose. Exceptionally well made with tart cherry fruit. Some tannins plus high acidity indicate improvement for another 5-10 years in the bottle, depending upon storage conditions. Super value, as I bought it for under $12.

May 15, 2019 - Lots of oak on this one. A little reminiscent of a Highway 12
