July 8, 2009 - Despite being 98% varietally pure, the flavor is uncharacteristic of classic Pinot Noir. It is bitter and thin on the palate with a lot of spicy black pepper, blueberry, cherry, vanilla, young oak and lead. This wine normally retails at $27.99 and my local liquor store appropriately marked it down to $19.99. Maybe in 2007 and 2008 it was good, but the flavor is very jarring in 2009. A popular critic rated this exact wine 80 out of 100.
Total acidity 5.4 g/liter
pH 3.6
Alcohol 13.8%
Residual sugar 0.10

February 17, 2008 - What a surprise -- in a blind tasting this beat a whole array of wines; genuine pinot in true balance; excellent wine, must be fine QPR

February 6, 2008 - Nice pinot, not too sweet, with strawberry, rhasberry, cherry and a touch of earth, followed by a smooth medium long finish.

October 30, 2007 - Rich and velvety smooth, full of berry flavor and a longer than most Pinots finish, this wine was lovely.
