Community Tasting Notes 5

May 12, 2020 - I have to admit that this has improved with age (unusually) and is starting to shed the over-ripe character that I personally find so distracting in many a Sancerre. Taking on a crisper hue has added a point. The wife loves it (she chose it)!!
    For drinking this summer.

April 18, 2020 - Bright medium straw color in the glass. Serious lemon/lime bomb (zest and juice) with chalky minerality, fresh cut grass, slight pink grapefruit notes as the wine warms in the glass. Med+ acid, bone dry, medium alcohol, medium body.

January 14, 2019 - Much loved by my other half who (in cahoots with my eldest daughter) chose it at a pre-christmas wine tasting. I obey!!
Unfortunately, Sancerre is rarely to my taste (roll on the Pouilly-Fumé) but this is undoubtedly of good quality showing typical ripe gooseberry Sauvignon character and fresh minerality.
For drinking over the next couple of years.

August 16, 2018 - Classic Sancerre of flint and mineral to it. Grapefruit and flint. There is a certain textural richness to this guy. And just opened. And crispy on the back palate as well.

July 24, 2018 - Crispy and crunchy, fresh, lots of energy and drive there. Darn good stuff.
