April 7, 2024 - Exceptional wine for the price. Spicy with rich fruit. It tastes unmistakably like a Northern Rhone wine. We paired it with a lamb dish and it was perfect. It still tastes youthful so it could certainly age for more years, but it is delicious now.

May 25, 2021 - Medium bodied, modern-ish style. Nose is ripe with darker fruits, cooked asparagus (?), and an illusory sense of light carbonation. Palate is towards violets, bright berries, and tart/bitter fruit skins. Finish is still coming together, some apple skins and earthy chalk.
Good quality, but a bit generic (mass-produced?). Decent potential over the next 5-10 years, but hard to say for sure. -
La Cave d'Argent Likes this wine: 91 points
September 26, 2019 - Visiting London, Galway, Dublin and Paris; 9/14/2019-9/29/2019 (England, Ireland and France): This deep crimson Syrah is ripe and suave, brimming with black cherries and dark bramble fruits that are accented with notes of violets, almond paste, mesquite and tobacco. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (listed as 13%), it frames the flavors with subtle oak and medium-weight tannins that show a bit of grip. Beautifully dense on the middle palate and finishing with good length, this is an outstanding St. Joseph that is well worthy of its sticker price. A year or two in the cellar will likely round out the tannins. Thereafter, it should provide pleasure for the remainder of the decade. Drink 2021-2030.

April 15, 2019 - Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône; 4/15/2019-4/16/2019 (Ampuis, Mauves and Tain-l'Hermitage): Walk around tasting talking with the producers, brief note. Also very ripe, but more substance and structure. Needs 3-5+ years for the firm finish to soften, but good potential.
