Community Tasting Notes 2

August 13, 2018 - Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Collection of Weingut Immich Anker and two other goodies (Private Location): The Eschewingert is actually a parcel in the Steffensberg. Almost only red slate underground. South facing. 17,5 sugar, 8,4 acidity.
A very delicate nose with fine notes of herbs and white fruit. Not giving much at this point of it´s life. Still very young.
You definitely recognize the higher sugar content although it´s buffered quite good by the acidity. The tension comes over the finish. The mid-palate is not really existing. Living from the "sweet/sour" play. Okay but not really my cup of tea.

August 13, 2018 - Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: 3 Guys, lots of Riesling (@Private location): Screw cap. From Steffensberg vineyard, grown on red slate. Clear, pale lemon color. Clean, medium- intense, youthful nose. Very delicate, herbs, pure fruit juice, very young.
Off dry (17,5 gr. Residual sugar), medium+ acidity (8,4 gr). 10,5% abv. Fine and delicate slate note on the palate, lovely combination of sweetness and acidity. Good pressure and grip. Elegant and juicy, though not the depth of the “Alte Reben”. 88+, very good PQR.
