December 9, 2023 - The fruit has subsided and herbaceous notes have come forward since last year.
Enjoying this bottle now and will let my one remaining bottle cellar for another year or so. -

March 2, 2022 - Walter Hansel wines really hit my sweet spot for both California chard and pinot. It's a great crossover from the typical profile of Cali and Burgundy. Great fruit without an overdose of oak. Great balance. Slightly peppery nose and a seamingly endless finish. All for a quite reasonable price these days. Did I say I love this winery, lol?
