November 9, 2023 - One hour slow ox then stopper pulled as we enjoyed over 3+ hours with our event tonight.

Nose of sweet red kirsch like liqueur with a touch of cedar. Medium garnet in the glass, medium + weight. Certainly not as heavy in the glass or mouth as the Dalla Valles from tonight. This is made in a different style and with much redder fruit as opposed to the dark red/black of the Dalla Valles. There's a slight herbal note in the background, maybe a hint of cinnamon hidden in there, too? Higher toned acidity and plenty there for many more years but it's in pretty decent balance with the high toned red fruit as it stands now. Another wine that started out as a 94 and hit 95 before we were done tonight.

September 29, 2023 - Quick double decanted and taken to Capital Grill along with 2012 Paleo during my birthday weekend celebrations.

The wine was tight and high in alcohol with a over the top acidity. It as drinking like a $20 wine so we left 3 quarters of the bottle for later…

We finish dinner with the 2012 Paleo that was drinking spectacular. The next day around noon we took the bottle out of the fridge and let it warmup for about half an hour… boom, the wine was perfect, nicely balanced with secondary notes of cocoa and dust. Fine and long finish.

If drinking now I would suggest a 2+ hours decant.

    94+ HOLD.

September 4, 2023 - Excellent darker red and purple fruit backbone with soft velvety tannins. Decanted for a couple hours, although not sure it needed it, this was excellent on opening. Definitely ready to go now, and can drink as a stand alone wine or with food.
