January 25, 2023 - Mostly blackberry, but some autumn olive, vanilla, creosote and pycnanthemum muticum. Serious contender for best $5 dollar wine ever
Well, when eggs were a penny apiece, perhaps classified growths were $5 a bottle, and pretty much every wine on ye olde farmers cellartracke gought atween 79 & 82 -

September 2, 2022 - Full bodied in the glass, with an abundant aroma redolant of blue fruit, tobacco and a hint of barnyard (in a good way). Very rich and vibrant immediately upon pouring, with no rough edges but plenty of fine, smooth tannin. Perfect for drinking now, but the impression is that it will persist for at least 5 years in cellar.

This is decidedly old world with tons of funk, raisins, meat and cellar notes. I pick up some drying red fruits, but that funk really takes center stage. I like it, but it's not one of their better efforts, especially in this price point where they had some stellar selections. Grade: B+

March 23, 2021 - Dark fruit, dust, leather, and some oak. A bit of acidity still. Not round in my eyes, with little depth. Solid fruit and solid taste, just not my style. Decent QPR for the price.
