Community Tasting Notes 10

June 18, 2022 - Great explosive nose of dark fruits. Lovely palate. Youthful and a bit tight. Worth drinking now after a two hour double decant but this should definitely improve with time.

October 22, 2021 - Cherry and balsamic notes. Medium body, ripe tannins, youthful but accessible.

August 4, 2020 - Aerated to decanter 90 minutes, though it seemed not have moved from the PnP. Youthful aromatics, and a bit more weight around its middle than I was expecting. I liked this, but did not love this; don't see myself ever really loving this particular wine/vintage. Probably a bit better in 4-5 years. recommended

February 18, 2020 - Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light ruby colour with fading garnet rim and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of red fruit of ripe cherries, floral notes of rose, oak notes of vanilla, mineral notes of tar, herbal notes of black tea, kernel notes of chocolate, sweet spice of cloves. The wine is youthful.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium (+) tannin of ripe and velvety texture, medium (+) alcohol, medium (+) body with medium (+) intensity flavors of red fruit of cherries, oak notes of toast, mineral notes of rubber, floral notes of rose, herbal notes of black tea. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Barbaresco with a reasonably intense nose showing good complexity, the wine is still young but exhibiting good potential, with a nice acidity and good tannin, with a palate that is elegant, with finesse and good concentration, plus a fairly long finish. It needs time to develop and would be ready by another 2-3 years.

March 10, 2019 - Slightly young. Firm, yet luscious at the same time. This is packed with fruit that has to work hard today to get noticed above the dark tannins. A very fine wine that will only continue to improve. Try in 4-5 more years.
