January 11, 2024 - Always a favorite second wine, nose of plums, forest floor, oak, and menthol. Well balanced and integrated tannins, medium long very smooth finish. Entering its prime drinking years now. Went great with a curried shepherd’s pie.

December 25, 2022 - Perhaps this was opened too soon. Recessed nose. More tannin and acidity than (dark red) fruits on the palate. Disappointing (2-3h after decanting). It went quite well with roast turkey and all the usual trimmings but did not impress on its own. I looked up the UK price and couldn’t believe it.
