May 25, 2021 - A fabulous bottle of Echezeaux. Medium bodied with a lot of vibrancy, energy and punch with bright red fruits a dense core, emerging undergrowth notes and luxurious finish.

June 25, 2020 - Appearance: Light ruby color

Nose: Medium(+) primary aromas of red fruit (raspberry, strawberry and cherry), preserved fruits and forest floor. This wine is fully developed.

Palate: Dry, medium acidity, low tannin, medium alcohol and medium(-) body. Medium(+) primary flavors of red fruit (raspberry, strawberry and cherry), preserved fruits and forest floor. Long finish.

Conclusions: Very good wine. Drink now, no further aging needed.

August 16, 2012 - Impromptu gathering at Peter’s house – truchots and a rion (Reston, Va): Expressive nose of fresh blackberries also blackberry jelly, some mushroom and earth. Warm and sweet black fruit expression. Entering the early stage of prime drinking windows. Good concentration, sweet fruits and uplifting acidity. Not much Vosne spice and not terribly complex but so darn expressive and tasty.

November 5, 2011 - A very nice wine, but not of grand cru quality, especially considering the vintage.

February 17, 2009 - This was really amazing. My first 2002 Grand Cru, truely a special vintage. Medium body and color. Red fruits and wet mushrooms on the nose, fairly muted. The balance, freshness and acidity were perfect! More sour red fruits and mushrooms on the flavor profile. So pure that you have to keep drinking it. This is one of those wines you want to sniff, sip, enjoy, repeat! This will match with any foods, was a great match for cheese plate and dinner. Recommended if you can afford it...AMM
