March 5, 2023 - Académie des Cinquante Tasting and Dinner with the Académie du Vin de Bordeaux (Restaurant Entrepot, Amsterdam, NL): Walkaround tasting, brief note. The Cabernet-Sauvignon is noticeable, a little old fashioned, needs food.

October 2, 2022 - Small seven-hectare estate in the north of Bordeaux’s St Emilioj appellation. The Château has been in existence since 1726 and has been managed by the Boidron family for seven generations.
The nose is plush, opulent - blackberry jam, blackcurrants, dried flowers, hints of smoke. The palate is generous with lots of black fruits, robust yet integrated tannins, and a long, lingering finish with notes of licorice and vanilla. Enjoyed aboard Qatar Airways Business Class. A good food wine - but nothing more. 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Shiraz. Fresh, round, with lots of plums and blackberry coulis. Quite primary, lush yet balanced with integrated tannins and good acidity to balance each other.1 person found this helpful Comment
