August 9, 2018 - 10.5% alcohol, foot trodden, wild ferment. How to make Ortega sexy? First night I was underwhelmed with the strongly aromatic, orange / peaches nose failed by the spritzy, rather light, watery midpalate. However 24 hours in the fridge and the spritz has mostly gone and the wine has added some weight and the finish is now clean with a hint of orangey spice. I like this. Not cheap, but as one of only 1085 bottles (now clearly 1084 or fewer) lovingly cared for, I think it is worth trying.
