January 7, 2019 - 3.5+ Amalgam of varieties, including a splash of Viognier, from cooler climate Elgin at 13.5% abv. Not a blockbuster, but at £12 in the M&S Sale this offered wonderful relaxed drinking pleasure.

The nose is perfumed ripe red berries, plum skin and mulberry with a savoury meaty/herbaceous edge. Pal is medium+ weight, ethereal smashed red fruit, heavy potent flowers, dried cranberries, fuller blackcurrant and dried-beef leather-esque, with elegant acidity, and milder tannin than desired.
