March 9, 2024 - Hawker night at Caroline's: Brought for a friend. Was in two minds about opening this given that previous notes said that this was not showing at the moment, but thought this was approachable albeit with the tautness of 2013s. Not the most refined champagne, but liked the zesty, energetic nature of this.

October 8, 2021 - 04/18 Disg, 1.8 g/l dosage. Should have read notes here before popping. The mousse is pretty rough right now...decant if you're drinking now...definitely young and needs plenty of time. On the nose: lovely vanilla cream, lemon, soft toasted hazelnut. On the palate: intense acidity, good density, but mousse is just over-the-top..soft grapefruit and good length. Don't touch again for at least 5 years.

November 6, 2020 - Лимонные абрикосы с дикой кислотностью и хлебушком, легкий липовый мед, дегоржаж 04/2018.

September 18, 2020 - Opened for my wife's birthday. upon opening the nose was a little reticent to show - granny smith apple, wet stone, turned soil and topnote of smoke. after breathing and warming a bit the mineral character became more pronounced and the density is apparent the medium plus body. powerful wine - will easily see it's 25th birthday in style and is likely to continue improving over time. hold.

September 5, 2020 - Disg. April 2018. 1.8 g/l dosage. Very very pale straw color. Really vigorous bubbles filling out the glass. Nose of peach, brioche and some lemon candy. Lots of acidity on the front of the tongue, followed by some underripe apple and a touch of caramel on the finish. Possibly just too young or in an odd phase, but the acid (which I generally enjoy) is a bit too citrus-y and makes the wine feel a little disjointed.

An hour in the harshness has dropped off a bit and the apple is more vibrant making for a much more enjoyable bottle. Definitely hold.
