May 14, 2021 - Croatian red blend from Dalmatia: Mostly syrah and some merlot. Aged in French oak barrels for 24 months. 15,4 % alcohol.

    Dark red almost black color.

Fresh and powerful aromas of dark fruit, licorice, cedar, nutmeg and black currant. Powerful flavors of fresh black fruit, blueberries, walnut and vanilla.

Dry. Full body. Medium+ acidity. Chewy tannins. Good balance. Good structure. Some complexity.

Long finish with black fruit and licorice.

A very polished and refined wine. Definitely enjoyable and with out any technical flaws. On the negative side: there is a complete lack of personality. 90/100

October 9, 2019 - Skardinia, Croatia (Dalmatia) 2015 Bibich bas de bas ($80 at the winery). Dark garnet; peppery, licorice and ripe grape nose (90 percent Shiraz, 10 percent Merlot; two years in barriques); big Shiraz extract; long thick fruity finish. Beef wine. 16.5-17 UC Davis scale, 91 other scales.

October 2, 2018 - Nice, but international generic nose. Good precense, but the whole facade is very modern and generic of place. Syrah takes the fore and does have some Rotie elements. Good finish picks up a better personality with bricks and a level filigree to the texture. The wine is better than my harsher earlier impression and is a really good wine, but I kept wishing for something to stick out more.

September 22, 2018 - 4th Saturday Group: Anything but Domestic (Rich & Dana's): Double blind. Black fruit and licorice notes. Has a good bit of tannin to integrate, along with flavors of black fruit and vanilla. Noticeable acidity. Thin on the palate and shortish finish.
