November 16, 2023 - 2014 White Burgundy Lunch (Grappa Leichhardt): Baileys Dry Red Shiraz Vat 56 1953 vintage. Wow, dense black red with scarlet meniscus. Initially its prunes and menthol but with time in the glass red/black berries and coffee. 70 years in the bottle and still a monster. What a great privilege to share and thank you Ray 18.25, but 20.25 for integrity and interest.

August 14, 2018 - A chunky, slightly rustic, dry red with plenty of personality. There are tertiary whiffs of liniment and Indian spice. The black fruits have a slight roasted quality to them and a strand of licorice weaves through the flavour profile. It has a very chewy finish.
