September 10, 2022 - Like a wine that cannot decide if it’s a port wine or table wine. Slightly in between phases now. My preference would be to wait 2-3 years.

February 9, 2019 - Opened and decanted for an hour. Opening salvo, drank without any food left a little to be desired. Maybe I was expecting too much. Strong aroma of cherries came through immediately, and the tannins were at the forefront, complimented by spicy undertones. I was disappointed with that first glass, but returned after a further hour, with cheeses, and the wine shone though at this point. Far more balance with the food, and coupled perfectly with it. My thoughts that this wine needs food, or maybe a while longer in the bottle, but after the initial down feeling, turned my views around when food was added to the mix, as can often be the case.
