March 14, 2024 - Beautiful, intense and complex nose. Petroleum, zippy lemon, green apples, some lime and melon/yellow stone fruit.

Similar complex fruitiness along with a nice minerality of stone along with touch of honey on finish. Real depth and concentration of fruit.

This is doubtlessly still very young; I can see what people say when they say that in its youth there isn't a huge difference between Trimbach's CFE and CSH, but I am pleased to say that this still had the edge in terms of concentration and complexity. Would love to revisit this in a couple of decades!

Bottle was from the BB&R Family Reserves

January 12, 2024 - Opened at Caprice in HK for the Jean Trimbach x Egon Muller Celebration Dinner by the winemakers themselves. Slow-oxed since 3pm and poured at around 9:30.

Served from Jerobam! The class of Clos Ste. Hune really showed here - absolutely gorgeous dry Riesling and probably the best I've had outside of Keller's GGs. Fresh, crisp, floral, fruity and petrol with beautiful balance, precise acidity and a long finish. Great juice.

Unfortunately my experience with Clos Ste Hune to date has been mixed - some bottles turn out to be more oxidised than they should. But this was absolutely spot on. Can be enjoyed now but CSH can age well - will be interesting to see how this develops.

Very dense, tight, packed in the nose, lime tones, pear and green apple, some spice notes, some red apple with time and air in the glass
Palate showing immense strength, power, with fruit and extreme acidity, opening like peacock on the tongue, mineral, citrus, pear, med body, long finish

April 5, 2023 - This was very enjoyable at this stage but really not the standout wine I had expected. Needs more cellaring for sure.
