April 11, 2024 - PnP. This has gained in complexity since bottle consumed in December 2022. Color has deepened to a medium gold, and acidity has firmed up. Medium plus finish with mineral notes. Great texture and mouthfeel. This will continue to improve in bottle.

October 8, 2023 - Interesting, enjoyable, hard to describe. Well integrated with just the merest hint of sweetness. Was a good accompaniment to a charcuterie platter.

December 19, 2022 - Opened up quite nicely after coming up directly from a cold cellar. Beautiful aromatics that kept getting better and better as the wine opened up. Showing ripe pear, lemon, and beachball notes. Full bodied mouthfeel, with good acidity. Unclear whether this will improve with further bottle age. Will try another in 6 months or so.

September 24, 2020 - Straw yellow color. Golden delicious apples along with skin of a ripe pear, over stony backdrop. Very good acidity, although all of the flavor and sensation are front of palate, leaving the persistent finish a bit odd. Not terribly sweet (but I wasn't sure what to expect): maybe between a GG and a Kabinett, German style-wise. Paired very well with Pad Kee Mao from Thai Kitchen, but would have wanted sweeter if I'd had something with more heat.

July 15, 2020 - Deeper yellow on the color. Floral notes, almost like a young Viognier or Chard in that regard. Apple, of course. There was a hint of tannins as well, which feels unusual. Softer finish. Not lacking in acid, but not as racy as many other Rieslings. For me, again, way too sweet. This is even sweeter than the Boxler Sommerberg I had a few nights ago. Closer inspection on bottle reveals no classification, maybe because it's from Alsace. But I did have it with a curry, so the sweetness kinda worked with that.
