July 31, 2008 - Not something you'd want for a special occasion, but for a party, a decent wine considering that it comes out of a box and how most people perceive boxed wines.

May 18, 2008 - First things first, this is a box wine. If you expect the taste, aroma and body to be that of a $25-30 cab, look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a decent, inexpensive solution to a dinner party or casual drinking, this is a good selection. I was impressed for a box wine. It was simple, not as chewy as I would have preferred, but still good. The nose was simple and the finish was short. Regardless of the simplicity, I still found it to be an enjoyable drink-keeping in mind, it is what it is-a box wine. For $22, it is worth every penny.

April 1, 2008 - short version: nice easy drinking red wine with dark fruit...good value.
long version: color is nice and dark as you would expect of a cabernet, nose is a bit light with a bit of dark fruit and alcohol, not much else...no floral, no chocolate of vanilla...just a bit of fruit. The dark fruit is most definitly noticable and is quite nice, I wouldnt say fruit forward, but it's there and I prefer dark fruit to red fruit so I found it quite enjoyable. A tiny bit of vanilla, oak is there as well on the finish. I liked the finish and did not find it short rather intermediate. I would have preffeerred a bit more oak and tannin (its why I drink cabernet) but for an inexpensive...lets just say it...cheap....boxed wine I found it enjoyable to have around the house for that occasional glass without opening a bottle or adding a glass to my tomato sauce or adding to a pan of good stuff after ive braised my rack of lamb. -

December 28, 2007 - It is what it is -- decent cheap wine. Weak nose, fairly bland, no finish to speak of. I think the ~80 point reviews are spot on. QPR is decent, but if you're accustomed to drinking higher-quality wine, you're probably better off spending $17 on a bottle than a box.

December 2, 2007 - Did not care for this as much as Black Box's Merlot, which is very good.
