April 13, 2020 - Burnished yellow. Strong flor in the nose. Cleaner and more alpine floral than a fino. A touch of kaffir lime and lime leaf. Lemongrass as well. On the palate, intense oxidative notes. A touch of oxidised lemon peel. Intensely dry despite an initial touch of sugar - the acidity removes any sense of sweetness. Not as balanced and harmonious as an Équipe Navazos manzanilla but very much in that idiom. A very good vin jaune but not one to fall in love with.
