  May 23, 2009 - Took this to a BBQ, which I thought was like a perfect match. Great Shiraz for the price, seems to get better with age and may improve further with a year or two, I'd guess.

  December 31, 2008 - hearty and juicy shiraz, smoky flavours, blackberries, blueberries, blood, good acidity, quite smooth. wine seems to benefit from a couple of years aging.

  April 28, 2008 - Dark purple red color. Blueberries on the nose with hints of petroleum, like plastic and soap. Not too heavy on the palate with nice red cherry and blueberry flavors giving way to earthy flavors. It has a slightly soapy taste with that strange petroleum flavor that mostly blew off after an hour or so. It had a nice mouth feel up front but was a little thin on the end.

  November 3, 2007 - Great pipe smoke flavored nose develops after 30-45 minutes. Fruit-forward, nondescript berry jam. Not thick. Went nicely with all three cheeses I was eating, Humboldt Fog, Morbier, Point Reyes Original Blue.

  September 1, 2007 - Good, nicely balanced, friendly South Africian Shiraz. Not as condensed as many Shiraz. Pleasant, balanced, berry fruit. Some bramble-woodiness. A little touch of spice. Moderate finish. 13.5% alco (D 6.5, F 6; Pine)
