September 1, 2018 - 100% Falanghina. Biodynamic, organic, unfined, unfiltered. Long maceration on skins and then aging on lees. The color is medium (+) to deep yellow with a golden orange hue. Medium (+) to intense floral nose of herbs (fennel), white flowers, French milled soap, ripe citrus, yellow apple, stone fruit. The palate is dry but generous, with nice sweet fruit on the fore palate, ending in a mineral finish. The palate is consistent with the nose, with the mildly ripe stone fruit really coming through. The acidity is medium (+), the alcohol is medium (12%) and there's a hint of tannin due to the prolonged maceration on the skins. Drink now, although I suspect it would probably age well. Very nice.
