August 16, 2022 - There is albariño, then there is Pazo de Sẽnorans Selección de Añada. Truly top-notch quality and complexity at all levels. Shiny straw-yellow, distinct greenish reflections in the glass. Powerful, energetic nose opening with ripe yellow apples, peach & apricot, grapefruit, melon, sea breeze. Palate is fruit-forward, medium+-bodied, medium acidity, intense throughout bottle, flavours as per nose, fresh yet multi-layered, rich and round, superbly persistent, fresh and saline finish. Masterpiece, this one.

August 9, 2022 - Deep golden with a green taint. Nose dominated by ripe peach, pear, and lime with hints of dry wood. Full bodied, lots of peach, dried fruit, lime and oaky spices. High acidity, long finish. This wine is in perfect balance between freshness and sweet exotic fruit right now, but the whole package is perhaps a bit too much. Somewhat heavy to drink, but perfect with grilled fish.

August 5, 2022 - it was fresh and brilliant 3 years ago but now its starting to age since it's off its lees. I'd drink up now, or wait another 10 years, when, based on much older vintages, toasty nutty notes will emerge and the wine will resemble old white bordeaux. now it's still mineral and apple driven, but just feelign a little tired.

October 3, 2021 - Tasted together with the 2009 and 2011 vintage. This was the winner of the trio. Light straw yellow with clear hints of green. Very floral nose at first, then moving into lime, green apples and some peach. Much more typical of Albarino than the 2009 vintage. Full bodied, but still elegant. Peach and red apples dominate the mouth, but this wine also has a clear mineral streak in the vein of crushed stone and gun powder (sulphur?). Long and fresh aftertaste with a finish with loads of apples and lime. Still very young.

May 15, 2021 - 👁👃👄 golden-yellow on colour. Minerals, citrus, pears, yellow fruit, tropical fruit. Fresh, young, despite being 11 years old, beautiful balance and very long. Elegant albarino.
