November 9, 2018 - 2016 Lingua Franca with Larry Stone (La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels): The 2016 Hope Well is shutdown at the moment with little of note on nose. 40% whole clusters (and you can taste it). Green and stemy. There is a nice lift at the end with a long finish. I want to love this more because it has such solid underlying material, but I have my doubts it will ever come together.

September 20, 2018 - Quite elegant, but still has quite high dry-extract. Violets, cherries, dark cherries, hint of pepper and especially in the finish, somewhat sweet fruit, very well balanced, solid concentration, long finish, outstanding quality that needs time i believe to really show itself from its best side. 92-93p
