This is a lovely light red wine. The nose has hints of herbs, and these continue to the palate which is very smooth, but with an interesting mix of flavours: the red fruit, but also hints of peppermint and maybe tarragon. There's light acidity and very fine, smooth tannins which linger on the finish along with those herbal notes. It is apparently 14% alcohol (which for me, being old school, is quite high), but it doesn't show any heat from that at all.

Overall this is an excellent light red which I enjoyed with chicken kiev, potatoes roasted with chilli flakes and baked beans(!). But it would also be fine to drink on its own.

At ~US$20 this is quite decent QPR.
