Community Tasting Notes 4

October 5, 2020 - From 75cl, inferior but functional cork. Attractive scent with dark red cherry fruit and smoke as others have noted here. Unwieldy palate, not unpleasant but lacking the textural suppleness the best German Spätburgunder at this price point offer. Didn’t change over 2 hours, so probably good for a couple more years. 87P

July 12, 2020 - pale carmin red.red fruity nose with raspberry and strawberry.nice smokyness - even smoked bacon.floral scents.light palate with nice silky tannin and a fresh mineral touch.gets better with air so some development possible over the next 3 to 5 years.

August 8, 2019 - Cassis, sour cherry, some spices, faint smoke. Edit: better on 2nd and 3rd day, 88.

December 17, 2018 - Fresh and light and minerally, with gentle skin phenolics, and a charming fruity roundness; creamy but not lactic, with both floral and vegetal notes adding interest; slightly estery finish, good length.
