June 26, 2023 - I love almost everything Enfield does - including many vintages of this Haynes syrah. But this was a tough drink. Shrilly acidic, overpowering the normal fruit and floral characteristics of this bottling. Followed for 3 days, but so unbalanced, it’s hard to see this one turning around unfortunately.

August 26, 2021 - An interesting wine. Lots of Brett on the nose to me, from a very strong bandage smell. Chewy texture, almost thick, but not in a syrupy way. Heavy tannins, mouth-coating. Deep cherry, sour funk, meat, licorice. Very acidic.

October 28, 2018 - Opened and allowed to breath in the glass. Earthy Syrah nose with a bit of black pepper as well. Medium to light flavors and a fairly light finish. A good effort on the winemakers part. I prefer a bit more extracted flavors in the glass. EG #ArchitecturalArtistry #WineArchitect
