  August 13, 2022 - Second perfect looking bottle. It seemed to be slightly overripe with an off quality. There was a decent texture but a disappointment.

  January 28, 2017 - From a perfect looking bottle, this wine had a deep red center with oranging rims. This wine smelled a bit funky at first and was best after 4+ hours of air. The medium intensity nose displayed black cherries, brown sugar, sous bois.
  
  This wine had a lovely plush texture in the mouth with excellent balance, decent acidity and some length. However, there was a faint burnt sugar quality that distracted me from the wine's other charms.
  
  While reasonably tasty, this was a disappointment for a Grand Cru from a good producer in a very good year. Fortunately, it was not expensive......
