December 3, 2022 - I think it is drinking well right now.

  • Sjjordan Likes this wine: 89 points

February 28, 2020 - Moderately intense nose: blackberry, tart cherry, and currant; a hint of vanilla, cedar, and an earthiness. Medium+ body and medium acidity with faint tannins. Tastes of cherry and cocoa. Short finish for a cabernet. Excellent daily drinker that benefits from decanting.

August 3, 2019 - Ruby red like pink at edge. Medium to heavy mouth. Oaky fairly tart. Dry finish.

July 29, 2019 - Dark ruby red. A very sly bouquet, but teases the palate with some cranberry, black cherry, cocoa nibs, new leather and slight dusty notes. Finishes clean, but not much else. This won’t cellar long. Drink now. Pass.

March 16, 2019 - Taste 90 & Higher Rated Wines (San Diego Wine Co.): 90% C.S., 3% Malbec, 2% ea C.F., P.V., & Merlot, & 1% P.S. "...hand selected off premier vyds in Alexander Valley, Dry Creek, & Rockpile. Aged 14 mos in 50% new FR oak barrels;" 10,000 cases made @ $25 suggested retail.

N: Pyrazines atop cherries with undertones of dill?

P: LM body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt fairly quickly met by astringent pucker which loses the MAJORITY of its punch by the LONG finish with a tangy/SWTNESS to the the dusty tannins. NEEDS through '19, POSS '20 (unless one can tolerate the mid-P structure), then drinking for 3 yrs more. 14.5% ABV; My VG+/EXC-. 92 pts Suckling and 90 ea WA & Jeb Dunnuck. [This vendor's $19.99 is as good an anyone on wine-searcher.]
