Community Tasting Notes 1

July 26, 2022 - 90 min decant. Deep dark magenta color. Black currant, dark fudge, lavender salted butter, mushroom dust, and anise on the nose. Smooth, very tongue drying palate. Full tannins on the longish finish.

Despite the nose being fun/interesting, the overall vibe of this wine is flat. The acid is not enough to liven things up. This is my first Black Cordon, but I’m thinking these were built for early drinking. This ‘15 is already past its prime.
