September 16, 2020 - Rich style of Riesling. Off dry with a sniff of Botrytis.

Apricot, sweet citrus and a tiny hint of petrol (less than expected).

Rounded and creamy. Fresh but very un-riesling lower acidity. Pretty good and nicely balanced none the less. Slightly lacking on flavour intensity but pretty good for the money!

June 19, 2020 - 85-86 Much better than my first try of this North Canterbury riesling, from second label of the esteemed Pegasus Bay. Sweetish style, with a small amount of petulance/spritz. Acidity still seems too low for the sweetness, but spritz just about handles this.

N: Candied orange rind, apricot puree, sharp orange spray and flowery blossom.

P: Off dry to med, subtle spritz and chilled serve compensates for the mediocre low+ acid. Ripe mandarin and orange citrus, floral, sweet lychee

May 4, 2020 - Apricot, mandarin, overripe lemon pith, orange flower. A slight spritz. Excellent Riesling and great value. Good sweet and dry balance.

October 25, 2019 - Very clear wine with a few small bubbles initially, deep yellow colour with a slight meniscus and faint copper hues on the edges. Very low viscosity. The nose is very intense, with aromas of apple, lemon, orange, and a little apricot; faint (for a Riesling) kerosine, flint, and a touch of iodine, as well as a reasonably strong butter overtone. On the palate, medium sweet, med+ acidity, med+ alcohol, well balanced. Med+ body with a little oiliness, long finish. Flavours of orange, butter, and honey. Quite a bit better than the '16 (tasted a couple of weeks ago).

September 28, 2019 - Deepish yellow in colour.

Nose and first sip were all lime and sherbet, typically New World Riesling, but the follow through was sweeter than I expected, and without the backbone of acidity that would have made it better balanced.

A decent enough wine, but slightly too cloying for me.
