August 24, 2021 - Clear deep ruby; clean medium plus nose of baking spices, cigar box, leather, cassis and stewed raspberries; dry; high acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; pronounced flavor intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa; medium plus finish; drink now or in a few years to let palate catch up to nose; powerhouse wine

December 11, 2020 - This is absurdly good. It can hold its own with the very best Ontario reds and that means at $38 it is great QPR. Deep ruby red in the glass. Blend of PV, Malbec and CF aged 32 months in oak.
Nose explodes with clove and vanilla. Fruit notes of Smuckers strawberry jam, blueberry, blackberry and black cherry.
Beautifully balanced with grippy tannins, punchy acidity and well-integrated alcohol.
Rich, concentrated flavours of oak, blue and black fruit match the nose.

July 20, 2019 - Clear medium ruby; medium minus nose of cassis, strawberries, toast, vanilla and black pepper; dry; medium plus acidity; high tannins; medium plus body; medium plus intensity; pfn with no bandaid; medium plus finish; outstanding quality; drink now or lay down for 5 years; tasted at winery; Devon gives it a 91; big, bold red without the tell-tale bandaid flavour of Ontario appassimento
