December 31, 2023 - PnP. Heavy bottle. Color is what you would expect. Nose is expressive - iron, pipe tobacco, and crushed cherries. Full bodied and balanced. Not a delicate flower. Enough fruit to match the acidity and tannins.
Day 2
Did not put the cork back in. Nose had actually gotten better with baking spices like cloves and cinnamon in the mix. Fruit had receeded on the palate so the acid and tannins are more pronounced which helped counter the rich scalloped potatoes and rib roast.1 person found this helpful Comment -

December 25, 2023 - Not much has changed in the past 1+ years. Very balanced wine. Definitely not a “cab bomb” but silky smooth. Drinking nicely right now.
