January 20, 2024 - Wine was opened a week ago, then vacuum sealed. The first day this tasted more like a cross between a cabernet and syrah than a barbera. Today, there are tannins and even though they are drying they are, well, slightly mouth puckering. Fruit is very slight but there is a substance here. Needs to be sipped to be appreciated. Will air help?
Yes it will. Fruit more apparent, cherry flavor, nice. Worth re-purchase. Mediums body, acidity, and tannins. Like vinnut and Mahmund reviews as they describe this the best. Solid 89 for me and this was at 7 years of age. Was ready but might even go several years more.

November 30, 2020 - I would agree with all of the descriptors shared by @tannicbeast. This is a very enjoyable, very food friendly wine. Easy to drink, does not have any sense of heaviness, 14.5% ABV is a welcome change from what I have been drinking.

May 14, 2020 - Med ruby with a purple hue. Clean, med aromas of tart black cherry, ripe red cherry, red plum, dried herbs, smoke. No oak. Dry, with med (+) acidity, med tannins and high alcohol 14.5%). Lively body, with med flavor intensity and length. Very approachable and food friendly. Great WPR at $12.50 at Costo. It is probably peaking, drink now through 2022.

April 25, 2019 - Sour cherry nose. Red fruited and medium bodied. Firm, chewy tannins. Balanced acidity. Easy to drink and excellent value at $9!
