  October 9, 2018 - Tasted at The Wine Society's dinner, speaker Warwick's winemaker Nic Van Aarde. Served to accompany chocolate brownie with cream Chantilly. Yes, we'd just had a white with the cheese, now we're having a port with the chocolate brownie. And it works! I wasn't surprised that this wine did not already appear on Cellar Tracker as the 2005 is the only vintage which has been made and has been bottled. This was bottled in 2015, having been lying in cellar at the winery. The added spirit is 3 year old KWV Brandy. Nic told us that there are very few bottles remaining. The colour is dark ruby. It's rich, sweet, spicy, leathery, cassis, peppermint. Long. Apparently this wine was made again in 2015 and that's still in barrel at the winery.
