April 5, 2013 - Bill's Monthly Lunch - April 2013 (Vancouver, BC): Tasted blind – Riper nose, almost a hint of honey, with minerality and orchard fruits. Weighty on the palate but with good acidity and a fresh finish. There’s a nice bit of tension on the palate too. This didn’t immediately strike me as chard but made perfect sense once it was revealed. Very good.

All have just arrived with impeccable provenance (this is not a pre-arrival): 2007 Selbach-Oster Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spètlese EXTREMELY LIMITED Delightful, pungent and full flavored for a 2007 - a wine with a long life ahead of it - should age very well, up to 15-20 years. An outright bargain for 2007 Spatlese. 2005 Leoville Las Cases 1.5lt(WS100) This set of magnums is directly from Bordeaux - it is as close to cellar-direct as I can muster. 2005 Soufrandiere Pouilly-Vinzelles "Les Quarts" (BH90-92 - Outstanding!) - as good as it gets in the Macon? 2002 Palacios L'Ermita (Priorat) Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA spain9876 burg3498 bord4599 germ4788
