September 25, 2021 - A very reasonable, well made, stereotypical, straight forward somewhat simplistic entry level / daily drinker level CA cabernet that is not pretentious and is pretty good for what it is. A good QPR wine. Ready to drink now and will hold well for at least 2-3 years but made to be approachable young, not a long term keeper. Nose fruity and a little hot, very dark and oak, cassis and dark fruit dominate the flavor profile. Not a particularly serious wine but I do recommend this wine for what it is.

August 3, 2020 - Very solid and with all the classic and typical CS flavors at a great price.

July 17, 2020 - Deep ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cedar, cherry, plum, and toast. Medium-full body; soft, medium-heavy tannins; and medium-high acidity. An appealing, berry-centric nose with a bold (yet easygoing) mouthfeel and a quick finish. Straightforward and approachable. Drink now or hold.

March 1, 2020 - Solid value for 12 bucks. Goes great with cheese based foods. Would not kick it out of bed. Wife agrees.

January 12, 2020 - Hilariously horrible. Served alongside a string of discount domestic wines that all should’ve been put in front of a firing squad as soon as they were born.

This is where grapes go to die.

The Uppercut earns points for the simple fact that some stumbling partygoers who consumed this actually came back for more. If The Real Housewives of Atlanta was a wine, the Uppercut would be a knockout (see....see what I did there....cuz of its name, right?!.... clever eh?.........)
