  November 12, 2023 - Improved over 4 hours with air -- getting deeper and developing good flavors and balance. Overall an easygoing but well made wine for its type.

  October 2, 2022 - Perplexing wine for me. Shows promise but very fruit primary on 1st night with a coarse grainy mouthfeel. Got slightly smoother as night went on but... 89-90 points. On day #2, nose became fragrant, mouthfeel improved and some additional flavors are trying to peek through (some carmel, vanilla, cedar). Finish is flavorful but a bit clipped. Easy drinker. 92 points.

  January 29, 2022 - This wine typifies the 2016 vintage, it starts off revealing a dark reddish crimson color and nice floral nose. On the palate, in typical Mike Smith style, dark and extracted berry fruits, blackberry and dark cherry, plum and cedar essence/ aromas. The wine shows some acidity and tannins. A good 93+/ 94 Point wine and could benefit from more cellar time, but is drinking well right now. The 2016 G-3 is outstanding.
