March 19, 2023 - Delicious wine. Dark and dense. Better with steak than Bordeaux.

January 31, 2023 - PnP. Still a bit tight on opening, but starts to open with 30 minutes in the glass. Still a youthful purple color. Ripe dark fruit, blackberry and dark plums, herbs, dark chocolate and cocoa. Big and rich, with dusty tannins and nice minerality in the finish. Medium acidity. Definitely a big wine but hides it's 14.5% alcohol well. Great value. I have one bottle left and there doesn't seem to be any rush on opening it. No reason why this can't age for 10 years from the vintage.

April 8, 2021 - Cherry fruit to the nose and good minerality. Caignane planted in 1904 here. A powerful wine with much depth. Just opened, a bit tight to it.

Medium acid and medium - tannin.

WOW, what a QPR! Lively acid and sleek tannins with ripe fruit and savory qualities.

October 14, 2020 - Well balanced red. Dark fruit, herbs and cocoa. Dusty tannins and medium acidity structure this full bodied wine. Enough fruit for just sipping but dry enough to be a serious wine. Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre. A 20 buck steal.

May 28, 2020 - 60% Carignan, 30% Grenache Noir, 10% Mourvèdre. Carignan vines are 100+ years old. Dark purple, nose is dark berry, pepper, spice, garrigue. Rich, round fruit on the palate, more dark berry and spice. Firm tannins. Noticeable alcohol warmth(14.5%), but not hot. Good structure. Clearly young, but has great depth of flavor and intensity. Likely best to wait on the others until at least 2022. Could see score going up 1-2 points as it develops. Great value.
