September 7, 2023 - Tasted like Chenin Blanc from Loire

February 1, 2023 - Funny Grapefruit notes , flinty and a wood note. Not vanilla note , just wood. Got better with some air.

December 17, 2021 - Quite restrained and somewhat closed. Showing a good mineral depth. Perhaps a bit underwhelming or maybe I just had higher expectations.

October 10, 2021 - I think this objectively is a good wine but it didn't move me. Was probably picked a little too early with zesty, but slightly under-ripe green fruit. Believe this saw some new oak that gave it a plush texture. Despite some shrillness on the midpalate with the high acid, this finished a little soft.

March 27, 2020 - Desjourneys tasting at Truffle (Wellington, NZ): The five blancs all a similar pale lemon colour. A bouquet of peach and other orchard fruit, lemon and grapefruit, with some green apple. On palate, tight, mineral and citric. Precise but nicely ripe fruit. Wet granite with a bit of steeliness. Also, a little crisp green apple. Oak present but well integrated (as was the case with the other four blancs too). Drink from now, but ideally hold for 2-3 years. Lacking much of the complexity and detail of the better blancs in the range. Still, it’s very impressive for the second-to-bottom blanc of the range.
